April 27, 2008 1:19 pm Shisha HelpHere are some tips to keeping your shisha as fresh as possible.
What should I keep my shisha tobacco in ?
Keep your molasses in an air tight container. Glass is best as some plastics
absorb or alter the taste of your shisha.
Why does shisha tobacco degrade ?
Due to shisha tobacco containing fruit and other material which are
susceptible to a process known as oxidation and reduction it will degrade when exposed to air. A slower but similar to the way fruit turns brown after its been cut.
How can I ensure most of my tobacco shisha stays fresh ?
If you have a large pack of shisha you can separate some tobacco out to last
you a week or 2 and put this is a smaller container, this will be the jar you
open when setting up your pipe. Keep the rest in a container you only open now and then. This helps keep most of your shisha molasses fresh as you’re not exposing all of it to air.
What temperature should I keep my shisha at ?
As with most degrade stuffs, keep in a cool dry place. Its not essential but
some people keep their molasses in the fridge once opened.
What should I do if my shisha has gone dry or lost its flavour ?
If you don’t like to waste your tobacco molasses but its gone dry, you can
help bring it back to like with shisha revitalizer and shisha juice. Shisha
revitaliser is glycerine based which is what gives shisha tobacco its glistening
appearance it also help produce a lot more smoke which is why dry shisha tobacco
produces a lot less smoke.
